Marble Canyon event to the MC Lodge

Update 5/11/2017: 

I am canceling this Saturday’s planed event to Marble Canyon due to expected high crosswinds.  The runway is only 30’ wide and stiff cross winds and narrow runways are a poor mix at best.  Another time maybe.

Update 5/1/2017: 

It would appear that after much research (input from other members), that the runway conditions at L41 are much improved save for maybe the first 1000’ of runway 3. That being the case, we will move forward with plans to fly to L41 on 13 May. That only leaves one consideration and that is the weather. Plan on arriving by 0900 and use our flight following frequency of 123.45 while in route. I am planning on over-flying the Zuni corridor of the Grand Canyon for a spectacular view of the Canyon with the early morning sun doing its thing with the canyon colors. I understand that the Lodge has been rebuilt making it worth the visit. See you all there.
