I think I speak for everyone wh en I say that the Arnold family will be in our prayers.\n \nHowever, the tr agedy has also caused another problem for us. It is likely that the memoria l event for Mike will be held on Saturday, June 1. While it is not for sure yet, it is looking like that will be the case. If so, Ron Keller, State Av aition Safety Director will need to attend the service and will not be able to be at the Negrito workparty. That leaves us with less pickup for haulin g.\n \nWe have at least one loader and trailer that we can haul down to Neg rito, but we NEED A PICKUP CAPABLE OF HAULING THAT. The minimum weight is a bout 8,000 lbs.\n \nWhat would be ideal is to haul a 20 foot trailer that i s also available. That way we could take two loaders on one trailer. But to do that, we would need a truck capable of hauling 12,000 lbs.\n \nI am get ting to the point that I will have to consider renting a truck. But before I do that I was sure hoping that someone in our organization would have acc ess to a truck / trucks.\n \nPLEASE let me know if you have a truck that wo uld be suitable!!!\n \nRegardless, I want to thank everyone who has committ ed to helping out. I would plan on arriving aro und midday Friday the 31st, working Friday afternoon, most of Saturday and leave around midday Sunday. We will monitor fire conditions and activity an d touch base with you before showing up. Lets hope there are no fires this year!!!\n \n1. Move the existing rock piles that are there now from the las t effort by dispersing them into the trees.\n\n\n2. Continue to move rocks back from the centerline of the runway, clearing an area of about 100ft. fr om each side of the centerline and, this time, disperse them into the trees instead of stacking them. I am anticipating having two or three bobcat loa ders to help move the rocks and smooth the depressions that are left when t he rocks are removed.\n\n\n3. Install a forest service approved fire ring a t the camp site (see link below for the product description). This is the s ame fire ring that Mark Spencer and the Arizona Pilots Association has inst alled in several sites in AZ. There is already an existing fire area right there, and I would like to put in the metal fire ring with a grill to try a nd improve fire safety at the site. Let me know if that is ok and if there are any requiremetns of the installation that I need to observe.\n\n\n4. Ru n the roller that is there up and down the runway and address any holes, mu d tracks left by vehicles, etc. that may have developed over the winter.\n\ n\n5. Install a new windsock. Last fall the windsock was beginning to look kind of faded.\n\n\n6.
