loss of control using accidents, with an emphasis on the takeoff and landin
g phases. Included in the presentation is a discussion on the "The impossib
le Turn", the too-often fatal urge for pilots to turn back to their departu
re airport should they experience a power or performance loss on the depart
ure leg. The presentation will include several audio and video segments of
accident sequences. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions an

 \n\n\nAdditional E
vent Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):\nThe FAASTea
m expresses its gratitude to EAA Chapter 586 and the Show Low Airport Autho
rity for hosting this seminar.\n\n\nRunway incursions are a major factor in
aviation safety. While many things have been done to reduce the accident r
ate in General Aviation and the Air Carrier Industry, both sides of the avi
ation house are still experiencing far too many runway incursions. This cou
ld be the result of "Read back - Hear back" issues, poor airport signage, p
ilot inattention/knowledge or a combination of factors. Runway safety is a
major concern for all pilots and if you have been around aviation for a lon
g period of time you have probably seen some close calls on the runways and
taxiways, or even been involved in some yourself. Come learn about this Ai
rport and give your input to the Team so they can work on improving the air
port for all who fly there.\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations continue to be a
major risk in the national airspace system. To reduce the chance that you
might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encoura
ged to take an on-line learning center course such as ALC 42, ALC 154, and
ALC90 on www.faasafety.gov, or search the learning library for associated g
uidance on airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent airmen have supe
rior situational awareness and have a plan to keep it that way.\n\n\nThanks
! A message from your local FAASTeam.\n\n\nEqual Access Information:\nThe F
AA Safety Team (FAASTeam) is committed to providing equal access to this me
eting/event for all participants. If you need alternative formats or servic
es because of a disability, please communicate your request as soon as poss
ible with the person in the “Contact Information” area of the m
