SUMMARY:VMC Club Meeting - Mastering the Art of Aviation at Chandler
LOCATION:Chandler Municipal Airport Terminal Building Meeting Room 2380 S Stinson Wa
y Chandler, AZ 85286
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Arizona EAA VMC Club KCHD\nOur next meeting is May 1st, 6pm in th
e terminal meeting room. We will return to our normal scenario based discus
sion. Feel free to bring food and/or beverage, and please invite a fellow p
ilot to join you. Register using this link. \n \nAs mentioned, we
will re-examine the meeting time and day before we break for summer to mak
e sure it is working for as many as possible to attend on a regular basis.
Meetings are designed to run about 60-75 minutes, but discussions have gone
well over 2 hours most meetings, so the hope is to have a start time that
isn’t too early for those of you driving any distance, but also not t
oo late that you can’t get home at a reasonable time. Please give it
some thought, a survey will probably be sent out after our June meeting, an
d any changes will take place starting with our September club meeting foll
owing summer break. \n \nEvery 3rd or 4th meeting we like to devi
ate from our scenario format. If you, or someone you know would be interest
ed in presenting at a future meeting, or if you have a suggestion for a loc
al field trip, please contact me so we can add it to the calendar. \n&
nbsp;\nAs mentioned, our VMC club maintains a Facebook Page in or
der to relate club information, share links to aviation related information
and events around the area, as well as a daily safety post. Please note th
at a Facebook membership is not required to view any of the content on our
page. Just visit facebook.com/azvmcclub \n \nThank you to th
e Arizona pilots Association for their support and spreading the word about
the VMC club. More information regarding this fine organization,
calendar of events, and membership information can be found at www.az

 \n\n\nAdditional Event In
formation & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):\nThis event is spon
sored and hosted by the Local EAA/VMC Club and the FAA Safety Team.\n\n\nWh
at is the EAA/VMC Club?\n\n\nThe EAA/VMC Club is modeled after the popular
IMC Club concept which provides organized “hangar flying” focus
ed on building proficiency in instrument flying. The EAA/VMC Club will do t
he same, but for pilots who are not instrument rated and fly primarily unde
r visual flight rules and VMC.\n\n\nWhat is the purpose of EAA/VMC Club?\n\
n\nAt EAA/VMC Club, our aim is to promote VFR flying, proficiency, and safe
ty. Along with monthly local meetings, we offer a resource-rich website whi
ch provides an electronic experience base.\n\n\nOur intent is to create a c
ommunity of pilots to share information, provide recognition, foster commun
ications, promote safety and build proficiency in general aviation. EAA/VMC
Club offers monthly meetings in which pilots can network and share knowled
ge and experiences.\n\n\nDo you need to bring anything?\n\n\nFirst, bring y
our thoughts or story and be willing to share them with the group. This mee
ting is very interactive. Participation by the group is a fundamental eleme
nt of the EAA/VMC Club meeting.\n\n\nOthers have found it helpful to bring
along a copy of their flight manual, GPS manual, and charts. If you navigat
e with an iPad, bring it along.\n\n\nWho can attend?\n\n\nThis meeting is o
pen to all current, non-current, and future pilots.\n\n\nFor more informati
