\n\n\nAdditional Event I
nformation & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):\nRunway incursions
are a major factor in aviation safety. While many things have been done to
reduce the accident rate in General Aviation and the Air Carrier Industry,
both sides of the aviation house are still experiencing far too many runwa
y incursions. This could be the result of "Read back - Hear back" issues, p
oor airport signage, pilot inattention/knowledge, expectation bias, or a co
mbination of factors. Runway safety is a major concern for all pilots and i
f you have been around aviation for a long period of time you have probably
seen some close calls on the runways and taxiways, or even been involved i
n some yourself.\n\n\nPilot airspace deviations continue to be a major risk
in the national airspace system. To reduce the chance that you might be in
volved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encouraged to take
an on-line learning center course such as ALC 42, ALC 154, and ALC90 on ww
w.faasafety.gov, or search the learning library for associated guidance on
airspace incursions. Remember, safe and prudent airmen have superior situat
ional awareness and have a plan to keep it that way.\n\n\nThanks! A message
from your local FAASTeam.\n\n\nEqual Access Information:\nThe FAA Safety T
eam (FAASTeam) is committed to providing equal access to this meeting/event
for all participants. If you need alternative formats or services because
of a disability, please communicate your request as soon as possible with t
he person in the “Contact Information” area of the meeting/event notice. No
te that two weeks is usually required to arrange services.\n\n\nCredit Appl
