year.\n\n\nThe purpose of this RSAT meeting is to unite those individuals
and organizations that are actively involved in air traffic operations and
movement of aircraft, vehicles and equipment on the Airport Operations Area
(AOA). We look for participation from all major airport interests includin
g tenants, fixed base operators, airport operations, maintenance personnel
and airport users.\n\n\nParticipants are asked to help develop recommendati
ons and solutions to enhance surface safety. Those recommendations serve as

ce\n\n\nRunway incursions are a major factor in aviation safety. Whil
e many things have been done to reduce the accident rate in General Aviatio
n and the Air Carrier Industry, both sides of the aviation house are still
experiencing far too many runway incursions. This could be the result
of "Read back - Hear back" issues, poor airport signage, pilot inattention
/knowledge, expectation bias, or a combination of factors. Runway saf
ety is a major concern for all pilots and if you have been around aviation
for a long period of time you have probably seen some close calls on the ru
