 uctors coached us on landing speeds appropriate for the training aircraft.&
 nbsp; But, landing close to Maximum Gross Weight (MGW) vs. solo with only p
 artial fuel results in different performance.  Now that we're pilots a
 nd don't have an instructor "whispering" in our ears, how can we safely adj
 ust our landing speed?\nThe EAA VMC Club provides a "hangar flying" experie
 nce organized around visual flight, in order to promote safety, educat
 ion, and proficiency.\nEvery meeting consists of a scenario presentation an
 d group discussion about unusual or interesting charts, changed rules and&n
 bsp;procedures, and member experiences.  We also have occasi
 onal guest speakers.\nBring your EFB, your experience, and your questions, 
 and be ready to participate.\nAll are welcome.  You do not need to be

 participants to answer the question “What would you do if this happened to 
 you?” \nWhat is the purpose of EAA/VMC Club?\nThe purpose of EAA Visua
 l Meteorological Conditions (VMC) Clubs is to promote flying, proficiency, 
 and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share 
 information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, an
 d build proficiency in flying.\nEAA VMC Clubs are extensions to local 
 EAA chapters and offer monthly VMC program meetings where pilots can networ
 k and share knowledge and experiences. \nDo you need to bring anything
 ?\nFirst, bring your thoughts or story and be willing to share them with th
 e group.  This meeting is very interactive.  Participation by the
  group is a fundamental element to the EAA/VMC Club meeting.\nOth
 ers have found it helpful to bring along a copy of their flight manual, GPS
  manual, and charts.  If you navigate with an iPad, bring it along.\nW
