During t hat last season at Grapevine, many of us have talked about bring it back. S o one step at a time, and put September 29 through October 1, 2023 on your calendar. “Rain” date will be the following weekend.\n\n\nMy contact in You ng is Vern Van Voorst. He has accommodations for 6 people. He has 3 rooms, with double occupancy. Also, he and other residents will have transportatio n available for the weekend.\n\n\nAccording to Vern, Young residents are ve ry happy to have the return of Pleasant Valley Fly In. So let’s talk the we ekend schedule…\n\n\nEverything will start with Friday night. How about din ner at Antlers has returned (although more expensive, ouch!) or The Pleasin g Palate. Depending on interest, we can have small groups go to either one. Antlers cost will be $17-35 per main meal. At the Pleasing Palate, the own er will work with us on the menu. We will have more information later.\n\n\ nOn Saturday, a BBQ with pilots, drive ins, and residents from Young with s tart at 12 noon. Dinner will be on your own, but dessert will be on the men u along with music by the fire.\n\nIsn’t this sounding great? S’mores?\n\n\ nSunday, before everyone is departing, I looking at breakfast/brunch at the airstrip.\nSo please put this date on your calendar. We will be requiring registration of those flying or driving in for Saturday or the weekend.
