 de dish and dessert.  \n\n\nAfterwards at dark we will be watching the
  movie Maverick (Top Gun 2).\n\n\nJust think how much fun it will be s
 itting out under the stars and watching a great movie!  And don’t forg
 et to help support the Grapevine weekends by donating $10 per person for th
 e dinner and movie.\n\n\nPlease come and enjoy great comradery with other p
 ilots, old and young, great camping surroundings, campfire, vault toilet an

 e stars!\n\n\nSaturday Night:  Join us to camp under the stars and tel
 l stories around the group campfire! Camp host will prepare the main c
 ourse. Campers, please bring a side dish or dessert to share. \n\
 n\nSunday: Most folks depart by noon\nATTN: Please, no motor vehicles, othe
 r than APA and USFS support vehicles, are permitted past the gate at the hi
 ghway. This is a closed area and only aircraft access is allowed. Help us k
 eep our commitment to the USFS!\n\n\nThe Arizona Pilots Association has don
 e an incredible job saving and rehabilitating Grapevine Airstrip (88AZ).&nb
 sp; Located on the south shore of Roosevelt Lake, the approach to runway 17
  is beautiful.  It gives the boaters on the lake a close-up view of ma
 ny different aircraft as they land on the fantastic asphalt runway.  A
 t 3,800 feet long, this allows most aircraft to check it out. \n\n\nI 
 am here to invite those interested to enjoy the backcountry flying, camping
 , and great camaraderie.  On the third Saturday of the month from Octo
 ber to April, Grapevine has a hosted weekend fly in and camping.  Alth
 ough not everyone is able to come in on Friday, there are a few of us that 
 wouldn’t miss it.  I am glad to tell the Friday crowd that the restaur
 ant in Roosevelt is open again and under new management.\n\n\nOn Saturday, 
 there are plenty of members and non-members that fly in and love to talk pl
 anes, airstrips, and other exciting adventures!  I want to encourage e
 veryone to come out and join us.  Watch out for Mike Andresen, there i
 s always something to clean up or work on, and the Grapevine airstrip is ma
 intained only though donations and volunteer help.\n\n\nAlso, why not stay 
 overnight?  The weekend host(s) will provide the dinner’s main meal an
 d the sides are brought by the other campers.  This results in a fanta
 stic, scrumptious, heavenly, yummy, luscious, divine, tasty, mouth-watering
  meal with beautiful scenery and wonderful sunsets.  In September, Jup
 iter was rising over the eastern mountain range, competing with Venus in th
 e western sky.\n\n\nThere will be some additions to the weekend.  Comi
 ng this year, we will have corn hole competitions and other fun activities.
   Also, how good are you at making a paper airplane?  Will it fly
 ?  How well will it fly?   Won’t you come and join us?
