  1, 2026\n\n\nI’m planning our first weekend getaway of 2026 to visit Joshu
 a Tree National Park in CA.\n\n\nHere is the tentative itinerary.  I’m
  still a little light on details (since I’m still planning), but will provi
 de more information as we get closer.\n\n\nNote that all times listed are P
 acific Standard Time (CA time), which is 1 hour earlier than Mountain Stand
 ard Time (AZ).\n\n\nFriday 1/30\n\n - Arrive at Bermuda Dunes Airport (UDD)
  at your leisure on Friday. Bermuda Dunes is a non-towered airport about 15
  miles SE of Palm Springs.\n - We’ll likely forego rental cars for the week
 end. So, plan to carpool in taxis / Ubers / Lyfts to the hotel (Chateau at 
 Lake La Quinta), which is about 15 minutes away.\n - Happy hour and dinner 
 at Melange, which is the on-site restaurant in the hotel lobby.\n - We’ll b
 e staying at the Chateau at Lake La Quinta. This is the same place we staye
 d during our previous weekend getaway to Palm Springs about a year ago.\n\n
  \n\n\nSaturday, 1/31\n\n - Breakfast on your own, either at the hotel
  (continental breakfast included) or at a nearby restaurant.\n - Tour of Jo
 shua Tree National Park, leaving the hotel at 10:00 AM and returning about 
 4:00 PM. If the weather is nice, the tour will be in open-air Hummers.&nbsp
 ; If not, we’ll be in climate-controlled vans.\n - Dinner at a local restau
 rant.\n - Overnight at the Chateau at Lake La Quinta.\n\nSunday, 2/1\n\n - 
 Breakfast on your own, either at the hotel (continental breakfast included)
  or at a nearby restaurant.\n - Depart for home.\n\n\n\n\nI’m estimating th
 e cost for the hotel and Joshua Tree National Park tour to be $750 for sing
 les / $950 for couples.  Meals and ground transportation are not inclu
 ded, except for continental breakfast at the hotel each morning.\n\n\nConta
