Update Aug 5, 2013:

Here is the line-up so far: As you know, we'll have at least this but more un-advertised items at the last minute.

But this you can count on:

sausage patties or links
spiral-cut / maple glazed ham
country fried potatoes
scrambled eggs
Amish breakfast casserole (two varieties)
sweet rolls, Danish, donuts
fresh fruit plate
coffee (regular and unleaded)
OJ

That's the "for sure" food and you can wait and be surprised about the rest.
I "might" --- just "might" --- have a special surprise inspired by Warren. >:-}

Warren: PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO THE REST OF OUR PHX PILOT'S GROUP.

"Be here or be square."

In Health,
Dana

P.S. No charge, as always. We work for love, not money. Lem Cook is underwriting the food costs this year. However, any donations will go toward the "Healthy Troops" project. We'll have a little poster explaining that at the event.

Hi to All out PPG Friends,
Dana and Mark and Lady Sierra N8391S here...

We are putting on another fly-in breakfast this year, again at White Mountain Lakes Airpark - 21AZ - just like last year.
Saturday, Aug 10 - from 08:00 AM to whenever.
Like last year, we are putting this on for free to all our flying friends.
Like last year, many of you will insist on "passing the hat" but unlike last
year, this year the proceeds of any "hat passing" will be put to a project of ours called "HealthyTroops.com" which sends healthy snacks and specially formulated vitamin packs to our troops stationed overseas.
Like last year this will be a buffet-style breakfast with a menu that looks so far like this:sausage patties or links
spiral-cut / maple glazed
ham
country fried potatoes
scrambled eggs
Amish breakfast casserole
(two varieties)
sweet rolls, danish, donuts
fresh fruit plate
coffee
(regular and unleaded)
OJAnd probably a surprise or two... You will have no excuse to leave hungry!

And, Now some non-menu related notes...

Some may want to chase a little white ball
around - here is a link to the Silver Creek Golf Club - close enough to walk to,
but I'm sure we can find transportation for those who need it: http://www.silvercreekgolfclub.com/

Good fishing on White Mountain Lake - should anyone care to drop a line,
Lem Cook will be happy to make it happen. (Or if someone just wants to tour the
lake by boat - Lem enjoys showing off White Mountain Lake!)

Should anyone
want to escape the Valley heat for a night, there is a nice big grassy area near
the ramp and Pilot Lounge / Hangar / restrooms that is ideal for pitching a tent
- yes, camping on-field!

Update Aug 3, 2013:

As of today, we have 18 people who have stated that they will attend next Saturday’s fly-in, cook-out at White Mountain Lakes (21AZ).  Plan on arriving by 0800 and come-up on 123.45 while in route for our group flight following.  Since we will be only about 8 miles from Show Low, we will use the SOW altimeter setting.  The SOW awos is 118.075 and TPA will be 7100’.  Since there is no published CTAF, we will us 122.9 in the pattern.

Update July 25, 2013:

I am moving the August fly-in from Whiteriver to White Mountain Lakes.  We will be having the fine folks who have provided such a wonderful cookout for us when we went toTaylor and White Mountain Lake a couple of years ago, do a cookout for us there.  I am asking that you drop me a line to let me know if you plan on attending and the number in your party.  This is for planning purposes for the folks doing the cooking.  I will reschedule Whiteriver for November in Lieu of Sedona.
