Description:

 

This is a Free Event, held in conjunction with the 4th Annual Pleasant Valley Fly-In. 

 

The day will consist of classroom instruction beginning at 0900.

 

The objective of this seminar is to make all attendees aware of safer and better flying techniques and procedures for the safe operation of light fixed wing aircraft in Back Country and Mountainous area's.

 

Subjects will include:

 

  • Familiarization, test flying and exploring the flight envelope of the aircraft. (Getting to know your aircraft).
  • Optimum performance take-off's, stabilized approaches and landing's.
  • Short take-off & landing and hot and high operations.
  • Mountain flying basics.
  • Bad weather mountain flying ("the dangers of Scud running") and controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
