In April, we’re having our usual fly in and camp weekend at Young (24AZ), April 28th through 30th. Young, AKA Pleasant Valley, is very special in itself with beautiful surroundings and treats like transportation to and from Antlers Restaurant, but we had such a great time last year on Labor Day with events in town, that we’ve decided to schedule a couple of our own events.

On Saturday morning the Bruzzi Vineyard has offered to host a breakfast for us for $10 per head, with a delicious menu:

• breakfast quiche
• sausage
• muffins
• fruit
• coffee and orange juice

We need to give them a head count right away, so if you would like to join us at the vineyard breakfast in Young, please RSVP today with your name, number of persons and tail number! On Saturday afternoon it is looking good for our private tour of some incredible prehistoric ruins at the Q-Ranch Pueblo where we also need to know if you would be interested.

Plan on a special weekend at the Pleasant Valley Airstrip located just outside the little community of Young Arizona on the Tonto National Forest, 24AZ.  If you are not really a camper you might consider staying a night in one of the two hotels in Young. The Pleasant Valley Inn is a good choice, with fireplaces, WiFi, refrigerators, and all the comforts of home. Call Marla at (928) 462-3593 early to reserve a room! Transportation to and from the hotel will be available, and transportation to and from Antlers. (A fabulous local restaurant!)

We'll be having a potluck lunch on Saturday, and will have transportation into the incredible Antlers Restaurant for dinner.

The Forest Service has graded this 3400' runway for us, and recently installed two aluminum picnic tables to replace our original wood units.

 April 28-30 will be the alternate dates if strong winds or rain are forecasted on the April 7-9 dates.
