VMC Club Meeting - Mastering the Art of Aviation
Thank you for attending our June meeting.
As discussed during the meeting, we are considering adjusting the meeting start time to 6:30 instead of our current 6:00pm start time to appeal to more members. Reminder, the club does not meet during July and August due to summer temperatures, vacations, and Air Venture. We will resume monthly meetings starting in September. Please fill out the survey using the link below so we can get everyone’s input before making a final decision. Date and time will be dependent on the survey results. Survey closes June 30th.
Speaking of Air Venture, if you are planning on going to Oshkosh, or had ever thought of going, you might be interested in attending EAA Chapter 1445’s June meeting this coming Saturday in the KCHD Terminal, and learn all the in’s and out’s of flying to Air Venture. Chapter 1445 has been kind enough to invite anyone from our VMC Club to attend who might be interested. Read below for meeting details, and please keep in mind this is a popular subject, and seating will be limited.
Advance OSH Planning Session
Join us Saturday, June 16 at the Chandler Airport Terminal Conference Room for the last Chapter meeting before Summer (no it doesn’t officially start until June 21).
Meeting starts at 10:00am with brief update on members projects, then we will move directly to OSH planning. We will have a round table discussion of getting to and from Oshkosh, and things to see off the beaten path at OSH, such as the seaplane base.
Please bring your favorite stops enroute for fuel, food and overnight lodging, and any that you recommend avoiding. What days do you feel are best for those that can’t stay all week? What special spots at OSH do you recommend visiting?
We will provide pizza and ice cream cups to enhance the latter half of the meeting.
