FAASTeam Flight Instructor Open Forums provide an opportunity for Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors, Designated Pilot Examiners, and the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) to meet and discuss one or more of the Top 10 Causal Factors in General Aviation Accidents at each of the Open Forums. This forum is scheduled for 2-hours in length.
*Prior to attending a safety seminar please review and abide by current CDC, State and Local health guidelines.
This seminar will be in the AeroGuard ground school building southeast of the main AeroGuard facility. If flying in, park in the transient area in front of the terminal. Proceed through the terminal to the parking lot. AeroGuard is on the southeast side of the parking lot, and the classrooms are the 1-story building east of (behind) the main building.

This discussion is an opportunity to collaborate and develop best practices, to mitigate the risks identified in the discussion, for both the Instructor and the student. The result can enhance communication and standardization of the pilot training and evaluation processes.
Together as a Team, the Instructors and Designated Pilot Examiners can combine their extensive knowledge and experience with sound judgment to create and provide the most comprehensive and effective pilot training experience, followed by a reliable and effective evaluation.
The FAASTeam would like to thank the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE) for their participation and contribution to the CFI Open Forum effort, without which we would not have been able to offer this opportunity to the aviation community.
