September Day Trip: Show Low, AZ – KSOW
Saturday, September 20, 2025
Trip Detail Recap:
Our September Day Trip will be to Show Low, AZ where EAA Chapter 586 is sponsoring a “Wings & Wheels” all day, fly-in event. The chapter will be offering both breakfast and lunch as well as live music. For anyone who’d like to meet up for breakfast, we’ll plan to huddle at the EAA hanger around 8:15am. However, since there will be a lot to see, feel free to keep your own schedule.
If you’ve not attended an EAA Chapter 586 event, it’s worth seeing. The Show Low community heavily invests in the EAA Chapter and it shows, both with the amazingly huge hanger they have as well as the large volunteer community that supports the younger EAA members looking to experience aviation.

Wrap-Up:
As always, be sure to thoroughly preflight both yourself and your aircraft. And do a thorough flight planning as would be required for any cross-country flight. KSOW is a non-tower-controlled airport, so pilots are encouraged to review Advisory Circular 90-66C for proper operation in non-towered airports:
Feel free to contact me with any questions (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and we'll look forward to seeing you.
