Want to use your pilot certificate for a greater purpose? Run out of "$300 Hamburger" places to go?
Becoming a volunteer pilot is one of the most rewarding ways to use your special talents as a pilot. At this months EAA VMC meeting special guest Alan Underwood from Angel Flight West will explain the mission of AFW, and how you can make a difference to individuals needing travel for life saving medical treatment.
Many people need on going specialty medical care which is often not available in the city or town where they live. AFW unites these individuals with volunteer pilots who either use their own, a rental or club plane to fly them to their life saving appointments saving them time and expense.
Safety is of the upmost importance, and is never compromised on any mission. AFW is looking for pilots like you that share this safety culture and want to make a difference.
Join us for this 90 minute presentation and see how you can make a change in someones life, and you don't even have to be instrument or commercial rated to do so.

What is the EAA/VMC Club?
EAA provides monthly program resources in the form of actual VMC related scenarios designed to encourage open discussion, and for all participants to answer the question “What would you do if this happened to you?”
What is the purpose of EAA/VMC Club?
The purpose of EAA Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) Clubs is to promote flying, proficiency, and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency in flying.
EAA VMC Clubs are extensions to local EAA chapters and offer monthly VMC program meetings where pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences.
Do you need to bring anything?
First, bring your thoughts or story and be willing to share them with the group. This meeting is very interactive. Participation by the group is a fundamental element to the EAA/VMC Club meeting.
