Arizona Pilots—Fly with Purpose

lighthawk conservation flying

LightHawk is expanding our conservation efforts across Arizona, the western U.S., and northern Mexico, and we’re looking for experienced pilots (1,000+ PIC hours) with access to aircraft to join our team. As a LightHawk Volunteer Pilot, you’ll fly missions that make a real difference—supporting wildlife recovery, monitoring rivers and landscapes, and giving scientists and storytellers the aerial access they need. LightHawk missions benefit from a range of aircraft, from single-engine planes ideal for aerial photography to turboprops and jets capable of long-distance wildlife transport.

You’ll also join a close-knit community of nearly 300 pilots nationwide who share a passion for aviation and protecting the natural world. For over 46 years, LightHawk has operated as a public benefit flying organization, using the power of flight to accelerate conservation impact.
