lake havasu apa lunch daytrip january 31 2026

It was a beautiful day to fly to Lake Havasu for the APA fly-in lunch at Hangar 24 on Saturday.  It was very busy when I arrived around 10:30 am.  There was a Cirrus formation flying training program and several other group events taking place.  There were 4 flights of 2 and one flight of 4 Cirrus's coming into the pattern when I got there, plus other traffic like our group.  Ramp parking was almost full when I arrived, so I got a little lucky, but it was worth it.  The Hangar 24 didn't disappoint... unfortunately, since we flew in we couldn't partake in the microbrewery items. It was 1.5 hrs flight time each way in my plane.  I fueled up at Ak Chin on the way, which was near my flight path... fuel price $4.75 was nice to see.

Have a good rest of your week,
